TASTING NOTES

Production

L’Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneto Monte Sant’Urbano is made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, cultivated in the Sant’Urbano vineyard in the Fumane valley. After a careful selection process, the grapes are naturally dried for about four months before being vinified. The wine then ages for approximately three years in large wooden barrels

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, we can observe a wine with an intense ruby color and some garnet reflections. On the nose, it bursts with aromas of small red fruits, cinnamon, rhubarb, cocoa, and licorice. On the palate, it is warm and structured, with a full body, firm tannins, and a remarkable softness and persistence.

Occasion and Pairing

It is worth trying this wine paired with blue cheeses, game, and braised red meats.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

THE WINERY

Speri

The history of the Speri family, among the most renowned winemakers in Veneto, began in the first half of the 19th century: around their home, in the heart of Valpolicella, the first vineyards were already being cultivated. From generation to generation, the estates have expanded, and with the strength of great experience and authority in the area, the Speri winery is now an undisputed point of reference in the Italian wine scene. The sixty acres of Speri vineyards are managed by three generations of the family with great care: together they express the traditional philosophy they inherited with a more contemporary idea of organic farming, the conversion of which began in 2014. Only its own grapes are processed at the Speri winery. Keeping production volumes low, each step that brings the grapes to the bottle is directly supervised by the managing family. As a result, the wines of the Speri winery turn out to be among the most unmistakable and appreciated reds: from Amarone to Valpolicella Speri, it is a tribute to tradition on the palate. Name and address of producer/distributor: Speri - Via Fontana, 14, 37029 San Pietro in Cariano (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
