Dal Forno Romano is based in Veneto, in the heart of Valpolicella: an iconic estate that has redefined the quality standards of Amarone thanks to an obsessive pursuit of perfection. Amarone della Valpolicella is made from a blend of native grapes – Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta – grown in the estate’s own vineyards and subjected to a long natural drying process. A Veneto red wine of extraordinary concentration, produced from a rigorous selection of grapes and aged for long periods in barriques
Deep, impenetrable garnet red in the glass, the nose reveals a broad, deep bouquet with notes of black cherry in alcohol, prunes, black fruit jam, sweet spices, dark chocolate, liquorice and tobacco. It impresses with its power and complexity, accompanied by great aromatic finesse. Dal Forno Romano’s Amarone della Valpolicella is sumptuous and enveloping on the palate, with an imposing structure, silky tannins and an extraordinary balance between softness and freshness. The finish is extremely long and persistent, with elegant balsamic and spicy notes.
Perfect for special occasions and moments of contemplation, it pairs magnificently with rich, structured dishes such as braised meats, game, substantial roasts and very mature cheeses. Also ideal on its own, as a wine for tasting.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
