Production

La Castellina Rosato is a Venetian rosé wine made from Merlot and Marzemino grapes, aged in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and drinkability in the glass.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It has a lovely pale pink colour, enhanced by a beautiful sheen. On the nose, fruity notes prevail, with hints of strawberry, cherry and raspberry, finishing with a subtle minty note. On the palate, it is soft on the palate, with a pleasantly citrusy finish of grapefruit and a slight savoury note. A wine designed to highlight the elegance and drinkability of Garda rosés.

Occasion and Pairing

This rosé is ideal for everyday drinking and pairs very well with white meats and vegetables; I suggest chicken strips with courgettes and carrots.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

The La Castellina winery is a small and important winery in the morainic hills, now a reference point for wine growing and production in Lombardy. It is located in the upper part of the province of Mantua, a short stroll from Lake Garda. Here, in a fairy-tale setting, the highest quality vineyards are cultivated and grown, with full respect for the land and the surrounding nature, following the strict dictates of organic and sustainable viticulture to bring out the full character of the region.
