TASTING NOTES

Production

Maceration takes place at a controlled temperature with daily pumping over of the marc to improve and increase the extraction of colour and aromas from the skins. Fermentation and ageing take place in French barriques, large oak casks and small stainless steel vats for at least 6 months. Energy per 100ml: 322kJ/77kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Ruby red with garnet hues, Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC offers a seductive bouquet reminiscent of small red fruits such as raspberries and plums, with the finish accompanied by hints of wood and vanilla.

Occasion and Pairing

The pleasant freshness on the palate and the sweet taste of Pinot Noir make it the perfect accompaniment to flavourful first courses and main courses of red meat or grilled dishes.

THE WINERY

Tramin

Cantina Travaglini is located in the heart of Piedmont and, to be precise, among the gentle contours of the Gattinara hills. The nearly 60 hectares owned by the company extend here; of these, at least 44 are cultivated with vines, combining the oldest knowledge and techniques of local winegrowers with the most modern innovations, to give life to a constant production that does not neglect quality and, above all, respects the timing and characteristics of the soil. The winery is family-run, and family secrets are passed down from generation to generation to create Piedmontese wines with a unique character, combining strength and elegance in a glass. Work and study enable the company to produce a Nebbiolo of the highest quality that best represents the unique characteristics of the area. Among the company's most famous products are “Gattinara DOCG” and the renowned “Nebbiolo DOC Coste della Sesia”, famous for its fruit notes. Name and address of producer/distributor: Travaglini - Via delle Vigne, 36, 13045 Gattinara (VC). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
