Production

Podere Guardia Grande is located in Sardinia: a young winemaking community with a desire to tell the story and tradition that distinguishes this area. Alghé is made up of 100% Cagnulari grapes, a native variety of Sardinia that is traditionally grown using the ancient sapling method on hillsides from calcareous-clayey soil. The grapes are selected in the vineyard, followed by fermentation and aging in steel. 100 ml: E=331 kJ/79 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

At the calyx it appears a deep ruby red color, revealing itself on the nose with clear perceptions of small red fruits such as underspirit cherry and spicier notes such as cinnamon and eucalyptus. On the palate the sip is voluminous but clear and agile. In succession it proves savoury, closing on a finish of red berries and spices.

Occasion and Pairing

The Alghé finds a perfect combination with typical products and dishes of the local Sardinian tradition, such as roasted kid and cured pecorino.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 18/20°C.
