TASTING NOTES

The Tre Filer is the The Friars' Ca' sweet wine. To Turbiana, the autochthonous grape variety of Lake Garda, are added Chardonnay and Semillon grapes, the grape that characterizes the great sweet wines of the Sauternes area, all processed in steel inhibiting malolactic fermentation to have a perfect balance between sugar and acidity. The result is a golden and bright wine, sweet but not cloying that smells of honey, peach in syrup, apricot and dried fruit. The palate is enveloping, brilliant. Balanced sweetness and freshness play nicely together. Pairing with blue cheeses is a must. A pastry with cream will not be less. To fully appreciate its style, this sweet wine should be served at a serving temperature of 12/14 ºC.
