Allegrini's Verona La Poja is made from pure Corvina Veronese grapes grown on the La Grola cru in Valpolicella Classica. The vineyards, located on calcareous and well-exposed soils, are managed with great qualitative attention and harvested manually. Winemaking takes place in steel with macerations on the skins, followed by a long aging in French oak barriques and subsequent rest in the bottle, to develop structure, complexity and elegance. Deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it is deep and complex, with notes of ripe cherry, plum and small red fruits, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is rich and structured, with silky tannins, good freshness and a long, elegant and persistent finish.
Wine of great prestige and personality, ideal for important occasions. It pairs with red meats, braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
