TASTING NOTES

Primofiore is the red IGT of Quintarelli house that represents the company in the most identity and school: a red with an easy approach, the so-called entry-level wine. An equal percentage consists of two international vines and two native vines of Valpolicella: 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 25% Corvina and 25% Corvinone. After a careful and selected harvest, the grapes of Primofiore are left to dry for about a month, and then mature for a year in Slavonian oak: the use of large cask is characteristic of the Quintarelli company. Primofiore is a wine with an intense ruby red color and is expressed in the glass with a scent of violet, red fruits and currant. The palate is fresh, flowing and tireless. A red wine that tells the true Valpolicella, with a sprinkling of style. Adorable served with risottos, meat dishes or to eat with friends. To fully appreciate the style, Primofiore should be served at a service temperature of 15 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Quintarelli Giuseppe

The company Quintodecimo represents a reality of quality reference of the entire panorama of wines from Campania. The name is a tribute to the ancient history of Mirabella Eclan, during the struggles between the Lombards and the Byzantines, destroyed by the Greek army of Constans II and called Quintum decimum because it is exactly 15 miles from ancient Benevento. Between the tenth and the eleventh century, the town moved on the ridge of the current hill, taking the name of Mirabella Eclano. Luigi Moio, after studying wine research in Burgundy, returned to Italy in the mid-nineties and from 2001, together with his wife Laura, he started the Quintodecimo company. The idea was to create wines that combine human wisdom and technique to a territory of excellence such as Irpinia. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Quintodecimo - Via San Leonardo, 27 - 83036 Mirabella Eclano (AV). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
