Nino Negri's Valtellina Superiore Valgella is made from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) grapes grown on the vine terraces of the Valgella sub-zone, in Valtellina. The vineyards, located on steep slopes of Alpine origin, are worked manually. Winemaking takes place in steel with macerations on the skins, while aging takes place in oak barrels and then in bottles, to develop elegance and complexity while maintaining freshness and territorial identity. 100 ml: E=307 kJ/74 kcal
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it expresses itself with notes of cherry, small red fruits and withered pink, accompanied by spicy, balsamic and mineral aromas. On the palate it is elegant and linear, with fine tannins, good freshness and a long, harmonious finish.
Refined and territorial wine, ideal for accompanying red meats, roasts, game and typical Valtellina dishes, as well as aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
