The Dal Forno Romano winery is located in Veneto, in the heart of Valpolicella: an iconic estate that has revolutionised the style of the region’s wines, focusing on concentration, rigour and exceptional quality. Valpolicella Superiore is made from a blend of native grapes – Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta – grown and vinified with great care in the estate’s own vineyards. A Veneto red wine produced from a rigorous selection of grapes, with partial drying and ageing in barriques.
Deep, intense ruby red in the glass, the nose reveals great complexity with notes of ripe red fruits, cherries preserved in alcohol, sweet spices and subtle hints of cocoa and tobacco. It impresses with its structure and concentration, whilst maintaining elegance and precision. Dal Forno Romano’s Valpolicella Superiore is enveloping and powerful on the palate, with velvety tannins and a long, persistent finish, characterised by balsamic and mineral notes.
Ideal for special occasions and formal dinners, it pairs perfectly with red meats, game, braised dishes and mature cheeses. Also excellent as a meditation wine.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
