TASTING NOTES

Les Cretes is identified in the Valdostan landscape for the constant search for quality in the work in the vineyard, with particular attention to the terroir and characteristics of the grapes, then enhanced in the bottle. Pinot Noir Valle d'Aosta PDO is a 100% Pinot Noir, in which the grapes are de-stemmed and cryomacerated for 2 days. Then follows alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled and constant temperature with daily pumping over. Aging in stainless steel for 6 months. The glass is deep ruby red, with fruity notes of red berries, with notes of sage. The palate is juicy and slightly savory, with fine structure and velvety tannins. Ideal pairing with beef bar, rabbit roll with olives, crespelle alla valdostana. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Les Cretes

The Les Cretes company was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles, in Valle d’Aosta, and is now run by the Charrère family. Five generations of history and tradition, the winery is distinguished by a quest for extreme quality from the work in the vineyard to the attention in the winery where territory and variety are enhanced and emphasised in the bottle. The grapes cultivated are the main indigenous varieties of the region and some international varieties, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The agronomic management of the vineyards is based on respect for the environment through the enhancement of the terroir, with a view to organic and sustainable viticulture, combining traditional cultivation techniques with innovation and technological research. The wines from the Les Cretes winery come from a cold, rocky, mountain microclimate, where work is carried out with the utmost care and attention, in a continuous quest for quality. Name and address of producer/distributor: Les Cretes Soc. Agr. Strada Regionale 20, 50, 11010 Aymavilles (AO). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
