Les Cretes stands out in the Aosta Valley wine scene for its constant pursuit of quality in the vineyard, with particular attention to the terroir and the characteristics of the grapes, which are then brought to the fore in the bottle. Les Cretes Chardonnay is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which undergo cooling, soft whole-bunch pressing, and 12 days’ fermentation in stainless steel at a temperature of 14°C. In the glass, it has a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose, it is delicate and floral, with notes of banana and plum. On the palate, it is smooth, savoury and mineral.
It is a fresh, easy-drinking wine, excellent as an aperitif with friends and perfect when enjoyed with fish and shellfish.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
