TASTING NOTES

The Ferrari winery is a keystone of the Italian sparkling wine scene, a flagship of Trento DOC zone sparkling wines which has always stood out thanks to the quality and elegance of its Metodo Classico wines, which are esteemed and renowned throughout the world. Brut Riserva Bruno Lunelli is the second, highly anticipated vintage of the Riserva which Ferrari Trento dedicates to the forefather of the Lunelli family, Bruno Lunelli. Showcased as a collector’s bottle which is also becoming an NFT, this Trento Brut comes from the extraordinary 2006 vintage, and marks 100 years since the birth of the visionary entrepreneur Lunelli. The result of meticulous work in the vineyard and wine cellar, this special Riserva is distinguished by the shape of the bottle and the convex bottom. In combination with being the first NFT of Ferrari Trento, this means that it epitomises the true values of the Ferrari winery. This limited edition bottle was created at the behest of the grandchildren, the third generation of the Lunelli family, who today lead the winery. This great Riserva, numbering only 6891 bottles, adequately pays tribute to them, and has an NFT digital certificate of authenticity attesting to the uniqueness of each bottle. Following the rigorous selection of the best mountain Chardonnay grapes, Riserva Trento Brut is aged for 16 months on the lees. Complex, deep, and ripe yet light with a generous perlage and a really persistent length, this signature sparkling wine embodies a subtle bond between power and finesse. It shines a straw yellow colour in the glass, with faintly golden reflections. It has an elegant perlage which is extremely fine and persistent. On the nose, a great aromatic richness can be discerned: notes of Rennet apple, citrus, white peach, and almond along with toasted sensations and an almondy finish derived from the ageing process. In the mouth, its freshness and length are perfectly balanced, making it a collector’s Trento DOC for grand occasions. It is also ideal for pairing with cured meats and fish and shellfish main courses. This wine is sure to be a pleasant surprise if uncorked during an aperitif with friends. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Ferrari

The result of Giulio Ferrari’s intuition was born in the heart of the mountainous areas of Trentino. Since its origins, the winery that bears his name has been committed to achieving excellence in Italian spumante production. Since 1952, under the guidance of Bruno Lunelli, this research has continued its journey, allowing the winery to still offer a symbol of Made in Italy, in terms of wine production, recognized and appreciated all over the world. Located in the areas historically most suited to the production of quality Trentino sparkling wines, the winery guarantees an extremely accurate winemaking process in every step. On what is now the largest Italian vineyard of Chardonnay, the grapes that have reached maturity are harvested by hand. They are then pressed and fermented twice in the winery. This ensures the characteristic aromas and flavours. All of this takes place in an area that manages to increase the intensity of the aromas of the grapes thanks to the hot days that alternate with cool nights. It is no coincidence that products of international prestige come from this winery and these areas. The care that the human hand puts at every level of the supply chain and the enormous respect reserved for the environment and biodiversity are the basis of great names such as the Ferrari Maximum, Perlè and Riserva Giulio Ferrari, but also the great Trento Doc, produced exclusively with native varieties and Metodo Classico. The low environmental impact that the winery aims at is also evident in the viticulture techniques. The vineyards are in fact certified organic and the processes are close to the organic system. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ferrari - via del Ponte, 15, 38123 Trento (TN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
