TASTING NOTES

The Solaia vineyards are located on soils of sea marl with limestone and schist, whose grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese are harvested in perfect conditions, selected and pressed gently, transferred by gravity to steel tanks. The fermentation and maceration take place in conical tanks, a phase in which great care is taken to maintain a perfect balance between the fruit and the quality of the tannins, oriented towards sweetness and aromatic fragrance. It follows malolactic fermentation in barrique and a process of aging in French oak barrels for at least 18 months. After a first period of refinement in separate batches, these are assembled to complete the evolution into wood. Solaia Toscana is a deep ruby red colour. The nose is characterized by intense notes of ripe dark fruit, with hints of blackberry and black currant alternating with balsamic hints of fresh mint and myrtle; complete the bouquet with refined spicy aromas of white pepper and toasted cinnamon and cocoa powder. The palate is rich and enveloping; soft, velvety and vibrant tannins give length to the finish and persistence in the aftertaste, where the toasted notes perceived on the nose return. Great meditation wine. To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Marchesi Antinori

The Antinori winery is closely linked with the history of the family of the same name, which, through the work and commitment of 26 generations, has succeeded in establishing itself as one of the most important producers in the wine panorama in Tuscany. The winery itself was founded a few years ago, with local materials and minimal environmental impact, in full respect of the countryside and the surrounding area. The Antinori family has been dedicated to the production of the world's most renowned Tuscan wines for over six hundred years. Over the centuries, family members have handed down techniques, secrets and passion for the land. If Cantina Marchesi Antinori is still a reference point for wine production in the area, it is also due to the courage and wisdom with which its family has managed to fuse the oldest knowledge with modern, cutting-edge techniques. Love and respect for the land today go hand in hand with modernity, for an unforgettable end product. Name and address of producer/distributor: Marchesi Antinori - via Cassia per Siena, 133 Loc. Bargino, 50026 San Casciano val di Pesa (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
