TASTING NOTES

This Sangiovese undergoes spontaneous fermentation in large Slavonian oak tronco-conical vats, with a capacity of over 100 HL. Malolactic fermentation begins naturally shortly after the wine is racked and lasts for about three weeks. Once these processes are completed, the wine is aged for approximately 45 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for at least six months before being released to the market. In the glass, it presents an intense garnet red color. The aromatic profile is rich and complex, with notes of ripe fruit, delicate floral hints of rose, and subtle spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is elegant and refined, with a fine and harmonious progression of flavors. It is a structured wine, capable of evolving and improving over time, much like the world’s greatest wines. Recommended pairings: roasted and grilled meats, stewed red meats, blue-veined cheeses, aged cheeses, game. It is recommended to serve this Sangiovese at a temperature of 17-18°C to best appreciate its aromatic and taste profile. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Soldera

A true legend in the world of Italian wine, Gianfranco Soldera, an insurance broker from Treviso who was a lover of vines and wine, implemented a true revolution in Brunello production in Montalcino from the early 1970s, at the Case Basse estate on the southwestern side of the Tuscan town. Soldera's production philosophy (accompanied by winemaker Gambelli) has always been based on a concept that is as simple as it is delicate, namely recreating the best possible natural environment around the vine by taking care of every aspect of the surrounding terroir, therefore intervening in the vineyard and winery as little as possible. His passion for viticulture, pursuit of excellence and enhancement of the ecosystem contribute to the production of the traditional Brunello di Montalcino, with its unique elegance and longevity. Today the company distributes its wine in more than 40 countries and is a true benchmark when it comes to quality Tuscan wine. The estate is now carried on by the family with the same passion and dedication as its founder. Name and address of producer/distributor: Soldera - Localita' Case Basse, 53024 Montalcino (SI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
