Sangiovese in purity, Le Pergole Torte is not only the symbol of the company but also one of the symbols of Sangiovese in Italy and in the world, vinified in the area of Chianti Classico. First produced in 1977, Le Pergole Torte comes from the grapes of historic vineyards planted between 1968 and 1999. A 100% Sangiovese that carries out alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks for about 25 days, malolactic fermentation in cement tanks and then refined for 12 months in Allier barrique, 12 months in Slavonia oak barrels and about 3 months in bottle. For every thousand the artistic labels are created by Alberto Manfredi in a different way. It glows in the glass with its ruby red color, shining like a precious stone. The bouquet immediately captivates for its complexity and olfactory elegance: red fruit, noble spices, cocoa, coffee on a mineral background and graphite. An aristocratic wine, which stands out in the mouth for its refined structure. Elegant, fresh and soft. Recommended in combination with roasts of white and red meat, noble poultry, game and cheeses. To fully appreciate the style, Le Pergole Torte should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
