TASTING NOTES

Production

Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc in the Marsala hinterland. After brief cold skin maceration and soft pressing, it undergoes slow, temperature-controlled fermentation. It ages for 4 months on fine lees in steel and at least 2 months in bottle. Per 100 ml: E=305 kJ/73 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Intense straw yellow with greenish reflections. Aromatic and fresh on the nose, with grapefruit, exotic fruit and tomato leaf. Balanced and vibrant on the palate, with delicate minerality and a fresh finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal as an aperitif and with Mediterranean dishes, fish, shellfish, salads and delicate first courses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this Franciacorta should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10°C.

The company Baglio Oro was born from the tenacity of Don Pino, a man of other times who handed down to his son Francesco and his son-in-law Michele the love for the land and for wine. In 2008 a dream comes true: the renovation of the old farms in a modern winery where technology and tradition come together to capture the energy and warmth of the land of Marsala. The winery is surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards that have always belonged to the family. A wise work carried out in the vineyard by expert hands, who work with ancient gestures and with the same care of the past, in a combination of tradition and innovation. Every stage, from the vineyard to the winery, is followed very carefully in all stages of production, always aiming at the constant search for excellence, preserving aromas and flavors of each bunch, producing Sicilian wines with an extraordinary organoleptic impact. In the renovation project the tuff walls have been preserved, creating a thermo-conditioned environment and linked to the tradition of the past.
