The grapes used for Mastrojanni's Rosso di Montalcino come from vineyards in the Montalcino area, where Sangiovese finds ideal conditions to express its elegance and distinctive character. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful selection to preserve their integrity. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak, allowing it to develop complexity while maintaining its freshness and vibrant character. The result is an authentic, terroir-driven Rosso di Montalcino, combining structure, finesse and excellent drinkability. 100 ml: E=360 kJ/86 kcal
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red colour, developing garnet reflections with age. The nose is elegant and intense, offering aromas of red berries, cherry and violet, complemented by delicate spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious and well-structured, with fine-grained tannins and a pleasant savoury character leading to a long and persistent finish.
A versatile and elegant wine, perfect for sharing over a meal with friends and family. It pairs beautifully with pasta dishes featuring meat-based sauces, roasts, grilled red meat and medium-aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its freshness, elegance and complexity, it is best served at 16/18°C.
