The company Le Ragose is an important company that has been producing wine for over forty years. It is located on the hills of Verona and precisely in the town of Arbizzano in the municipality of Negrar. By choice Le Ragose enhances the main native vines: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, to be used for the production of Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella wines and vinifies only grapes from its own vineyards. The term Recioto derives from the Veronese dialectal term «recia», that is, an ear indicating the two wings of the bunch, but more generally, of the small clusters suitable for drying. Recioto is a typical Veronese red wine of great structure and good alcohol, with sugar residues such as to make it sweet or sweet. Recioto Classico della Valpolicella DOCG Le Ragose is a red wine that is produced with Corvina grapes in a higher percentage, with the addition of Rondinella and Corvinone. It has a deep garnet red color. The nose expresses intense aromas of red berried fruit and an excellent complexity. It is a wine with a warm and enveloping elegance that never tires the palate. Ideal to drink in good company during Sunday lunch, indicated as a combination with red meat, such as Pastissada de Caval, a typical dish from Verona. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC.
