Since its foundation, the Fattoria Cantina Mantellassi has made a name for itself due to its innovative production process and constantly evolving activity, which has enabled it to become one of the most important reference points in wine growing in Tuscany in a short time. Established in the heart of the Banditaccia area, the company started with just four hectares of vineyards. Their hard work and commitment have enabled them to reach and surpass one hundred hectares over the course of a few decades, all of which are dedicated to the creation of Tuscan wines of the highest quality.
Not only that: thanks to its work, this winery contributed decisively to the establishment of the Morellino di Scansano controlled designation of origin. It is still considered one of the most prestigious wine producers in Tuscany. Culture and respect for the land have proved to be indispensable characteristics for enhancing the unique characteristics of the tuffaceous-calcareous soils with an ampelographic base. The major cultivations include Sangiovese, Alicante and Cabernet Sauvignon, Morellino and Merlot, Canaiolo Nero and Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera variety and certain qualities of whites such as, for example, Vermentino Bianco and Sauvignon Bianco.
