TASTING NOTES

The Montepulciano Bossanova is produced from old vines whose grapes, processed in purity, are partly crushed whole and added to the rest of the mass for a short maceration. Only indigenous yeasts for fermentation, while aging is done for 8 months in vitrified cement tanks. It then ages for another 4 months in bottle. The color is an intense ruby red, the aroma intrigues with its ample aromas of fruit, black cherry and red plums that are enriched with deep spicy and finely balsamic sensations. The mouthfeel, of great elegance, has a good softness and, at the same time, a lively freshness with velvety tannins. This wine red from Abruzzo full-bodied and persistent, goes well with traditional Abruzzo dishes such as red meat and game.  To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC. THE WINERY

Bossanova

Similarly to Jobim, Moraes and Gilberto who made Bossanova music a mood shared worldwide, Nat Colantonio and Andrea Quaglia produce a wine of terroir but capable of emotional reverberations that aspire to cosmopolitanism. The Bossanova winery presents high-end, indigenous wines from the most significant portion of the Teramo hills wine context: Controguerra. A stone's throw from the sea and smelling of the mountains as only the hills of Abruzzo know how to be, the wines encapsulate and express all this in the simplest and most natural way possible. Name and address of producer/distributor: Cantina Bossanova, Contrada Pignotto, 87, 64010 Controguerra TE. Products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
