TASTING NOTES

Production

The beginning of a great story. For four generations, the Malavasi estate has made agriculture its way of life, gradually carving out an increasingly important role for wine. Today, Daniele runs his family business with the pride of someone who loves what he does: a young but already established winery. The winery is based in the municipality of Pozzolengo, with vineyards also in nearby Desenzano del Garda, nestled in an enchanting landscape characterised by the gentle slopes of the Morainic hills. The Trebbiano grapes for Lugana Camilla come from the vineyard of the same name, situated in the first limestone-clay strip of Lake Garda. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by at least three months’ bottle ageing. Per 100ml = 314 kJ/75 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it presents a brilliantly bright straw-yellow colour with slight greenish hues. On the nose, intense notes prevail with fresh aromas of flowers and fragrant fruits, alongside hints of apricot jam, candied citrus peel and amaretto. On the palate, it is lively and enticing with pleasant aromatic nuances. It has good length, is enveloping and full-bodied. Pleasant and fresh aromatic notes characterise the finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect with seafood platters, shellfish, fish and vegetable risottos, and delicate fish and white meat main courses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

THE WINERY

Tenuta Malavasi

The history of Tenuta Mara is relatively short, compared to that of other farms in Emilia-Romagna; but the commitment, passion and study applied to viticulture have managed to make it one of the most interesting realities in the entire region from the very beginning. When it was founded, the company set itself the ambitious goal of working as naturally as possible, applying the principles of organic and sustainable viticulture, for an intense product full of character that can best tell the unique and special characteristics of the land. The vines, planted with Sangiovese from meticulous local selections, are cared for according to biodynamic principles and followed step by step, following the delicate balance of the soil and surrounding microclimate. A constant and painstaking effort, however, that pays off: the result, in fact, can all be tasted in the wines of Emilia-Romagna of the highest quality, the winery's true strength. Name and address of producer/distributor: Tenuta Mara - Via Cà Bacchino, 39-41, 47832 San Clemente (RN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
