Lugana Brolettino is made from the indigenous Turbiana grape variety, harvested at full ripeness around mid-October. After harvesting and selecting the finest grapes, vinification takes place in stainless steel and is completed in barriques, followed by 10 months’ ageing in barriques and a further 3 months in bottle. On the palate, it reveals its full complexity: the nose offers hints of ripe fruit such as peaches, yellow apples and fleshy roses, with fresh and balsamic notes. The palate is enveloped by a firm attack, retaining all its freshness and elegance. The full-bodied structure is accompanied by a characteristic savouriness, which cleanses the palate, leaving delicate yet intense aromas.
Ideal with winter soups, pulses and pasta with white sauces, medium-aged cheeses and shellfish.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
