TASTING NOTES

The Nadia Curto winery is located in the Annunziata hamlet of La Morra, near Borgata Ciotto, in one of the finest terroirs of the Langhe, in Piedmont. This Nadia Curto wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which are de-stemmed and then macerated on the skins for 7 days with spontaneous fermentation, pumping over and manual fulling in stainless steel tanks. Aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels of 20/30hL until the second summer after the harvest. Nadia Curto’s Langhe Nebbiolo is a fresh, intense and consistent red wine. Crunchy fruit, dried flowers and balsamic traits are the introduction to the perfect union between the youthful tension and the seriousness typical of Nebbiolo with the exuberance and readiness of La Morra’s wines. Long, persistent and great companion of the table. This Nebbiolo is great in combination with a veal tonnato, a Russian salad or a knife joke. Nadia Curto

In the hamlet of Annunziata di La Morra, for over 60 years, Marco Curto and his wife Adele have cultivated four hectares of vineyard on the hill of Arborina. Since the 2000s, their daughter Nadia, who, after having gained experience in another field, chose to pursue the careful and meticulous work of her parents, giving new life to the company. Nadia’s ability lies in finding her own way by taking inspiration from both of them and by taking advantage of the double savoir-faire from which she could draw. So in the vineyard he carries on a organic agricultural approach, putting into practice short macerations, pumping and daily fulling. All this is explained in the two versions of Barolo, inspired by modernism.
