TASTING NOTES

Production

The Nonino distillery is located in Friuli Venezia Giulia: a historic establishment that has revolutionised the world of grappa, elevating it to a spirit of excellence. Grappa Vendemmia Bianca is made from fresh, selected pomace of white grapes, distilled by hand immediately after pressing to preserve its aromas and fragrance. An Italian spirit produced using the discontinuous method in copper stills and aged for a short period in steel.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Crystal-clear, limpid and brilliant to the eye, the nose reveals a refined and elegant profile with floral notes, hints of white fruit and light herbaceous undertones. It impresses with its freshness and aromatic purity. Nonino’s Grappa Vendemmia Bianca is smooth and harmonious on the palate, with a balanced, delicate and persistent mouthfeel, characterised by a fresh and slightly aromatic finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal as a digestif at the end of a meal, it also pairs well with dry biscuits, fine pastries or moments of contemplation. Excellent too for mixing in sophisticated cocktails.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

THE WINERY

Nonino

In the heart of Tuscany and, to be precise, in the Chianti Classico Fiorentino area, lie the vineyards and woods of the Villa Barberino estate, which has always been home to the Nunzi Conti family and the winery of the same name. This is an area full of charm and surrounded by vineyards: over eighty hectares of carefully kept land, cultivated mainly with Chianti Classico. The family's production has always and above all focused on the production of Chianti, but not just that. Among the grape varieties found on its hectares are typical local strains such as Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo. International varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are treated with care at every stage of growth, are also found to a small extent. The study of modern techniques, combined with ancient ones, merges with a passion for viticulture to create Tuscan wines with a unique character. Name and address of producer/distributor: Nunzi Conti - Via di Villa Barberino, 50026 San Casciano in Val di Pesa (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
