TASTING NOTES

The Zorzettig family cultivates its vineyards in one of the most suitable areas for the production of excellent white wines, located on the border with Slovenia in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Wines represent the true expression of the territory, for wines made in a simple, genuine and trying to enhance the characteristics of the grapes. Sauvignon MYO is typical and territorial: the best expression of one of the most widespread international vines on the eastern borders of Italy. MYO comes from a manual harvest of Sauvignon grapes, with a selection in the vineyard of the best bunches to start the vinification and pressed in a very delicate way. The fermentation of the flower must takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Before bottling, the wine ages for 6 months for 90% of steel tanks and 10% in oak barrels. Sauvignon is a semi-aromatic grape that gives powerful Friulian wines full of aromatic intensity. Sauvignon MYO is presented to the glass with a luminous clear yellow color with brilliant golden reflections, which embellish its appearance. The nose is dominated by citrus notes of lime peel, grapefruit, aromas of tropical fruit, vegetable hints of nettle, tomato leaf and nuances of white flowers. The palate has an excellent structure, dense and rich that extends on the finish in a persistent way, with fresh and savory notes. Recommended in combination with fresh cheeses or important seafood dishes. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 10 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Annalisa Zorzettig

The history of the Zorzettig family in wine begins more than 100 years ago, on the hills of Spessa di Cividale in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an ideal place for viticulture thanks to a unique terroir and microclimate, protected by the Alps from the cold currents of the north and kissed by the breezes of the Adriatic Sea. The family produces about 800 thousand bottles divided between autochthonous and international. Nature, authenticity, evolution and quality are the words that guide the thought and work of Annalisa Zorzettig, who took over the management of the homonymous family winery. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Annalisa Zorzettig - Strada di Sant'Anna, 37 - 33043 Spessa (UD). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
