Ape Regina was created with the aim of enhancing the aromas, fragrances and distinctive characteristics of Chardonnay, whilst confirming the winemaking potential of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Intense yellow with brilliant golden highlights. On the nose, aromas of ripe white fruit, such as pear and peach, stand out, which then give way to notes of banana combined with hints of butter, vanilla and pastry. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and elegant: balance and smoothness prevail. Persistent and long-lasting, the rich, fruity notes present on the nose reappear on the palate, alongside tertiary aromas—vanilla in particular—and subtle hints of oak ageing.
Perfect paired with medium-aged cheeses, a first course of pasta with white truffle or foie gras.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
