TASTING NOTES

Production

Fermented in steel for 6 months on its lees. The wine is then bottled and, following the Metodo Classico, remains in the bottle on the lees for 60 months for the second fermentation before disgorging. It then rests for at least a further 10 months before release.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Hints of fresh small yellow flowers, citrus, thyme, honey and elegant pastry notes accompanied by a wet stone minerality. On the palate, wonderfully savoury and creamy, elegant, balanced and persistent.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs very well with starters, raw fish, shellfish and seafood.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Arici

The story of this winery began in the late 1990s, when the founder decided to restore some old terraced vineyards in the far eastern part of the Franciacorta terroir of Gussago. After years of work to restore the vines in the area to their former glory, amid the recovery of ancient traditions and the study of innovative, avant-garde techniques, the results were incredibly promising. The terroir on which the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines are planted has very special characteristics: perfectly draining active limestone, capable of imparting great minerality and salinity to the wine produced. The initial decision to allocate a small part of that vineyard to the production of a modest quantity of Franciacorta proved to be successful, giving the Arici winery unexpected yet well-deserved popularity. From that first “sparkling wine base”, the Arici adventure has continued to take the production of Lombardy wines to new heights. Name and address of producer/distributor: Arici - Via Forcella, 70, 25064 Gussago BS. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
