A Chianti Classico with a distinctly territorial character, consistent with the history of Tuscan winemaking, using only Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes grown on soils composed of calcareous marl and galestro, aged for 7 months in second-use French oak barriques and for a further 7 months in the bottle before release. 100 ml: E=328 kJ/78 kcal
The wine is a brilliant ruby red, moving with agility in the glass, unfolding into aromas ranging from violet to small red fruits, with a spicy touch of rosemary and pepper. The palate is fresh, consistent with the nose and supported by lively, perfectly integrated tannins, thanks to the balanced and unobtrusive use of oak, with a savoury, dry finish that invites you to return to the glass time and time again.
Ideal as an everyday wine, this Tuscan red is highly recommended for the traditional pairing with grilled red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
