TASTING NOTES

Burgundy meets Champagne. Maison Valentine Leflaive arose from the coming together of two great wine and terroir enthusiasts: Olivier Leflaive and Érick de Sousa, who today manage vineyards of nearly 45 years of age. Champagne Grand Cru Rosé Brut MA|17|60 is made with 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay grapes, from vineyards with an average age of 20 years, located in the Cœur de Terroir. A fantastic and refined rosé Champagne with a clear salmon pink hue in the glass, it has a fine, elegant perlage. On the nose, Rosé Brut from Maison Leflaive has an immediately creamy and soft texture. A Champagne with a long, very deep and slightly salty finish. Pair it with traditional French fish dishes, or with lobster and scallops. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Valentin Leflaive

Burgundy meets Champagne. The Champagne Maison Valentine Leflaive arose from the coming together of two great wine and terroir enthusiasts: Olivier Leflaive (Puligny-Montrachet) in Borgogna and Érick de Sousa (Côte des Blancs) in Champagne. Valentin Leflaive's adventure is rooted in the history of the Leflaive family, which has been guided by its love of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties and its exemplary work for many centuries. The grapes come from old vines more than 45 years old, located on plots in the Grand Cru of Avize and Oger, harvested by hand with soft pressing and fermentation of the flower must partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques for about 10 months. The wines of the Leflaive Maison are blends of reserve wines and undergo a second fermentation, which takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with an ageing period on the lees of 42 months before dégorgement. Each cuvée is identified by a dedicated code on the label: letters define the grape variety and texture of each cuvée and numbers indicate the years of the reserve wines used as dosage. Champagne Valentin Leflaive is an invitation to innovation and a positive, hedonistic approach. Name and address of producer/distributor: Valentin Leflaive - 1 Rue du Mesnil, 51190 Oger - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
