TASTING NOTES

Production

Adrien Renoir’s Champagne Grand Cru Extra Brut Le Terroir is made from grapes sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, cultivated using sustainable methods and with great attention to the identity of the terroir. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation, partly in steel and partly in wood, followed by the second fermentation according to the Méthode Champenoise. The Extra Brut dosage enhances purity, tension and aromatic precision.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bright straw-yellow in colour with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it opens with notes of citrus, apple, pear and white flowers, accompanied by hints of bread crust, dried fruit and light mineral undertones. On the palate, it is fresh and dynamic, with great savouriness, elegant structure and a long, dry and harmonious finish.

Occasion and Pairing

A refined and gastronomic champagne, ideal as a sophisticated aperitif or paired with oysters, shellfish, raw fish and delicate seafood dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

THE WINERY

Adrien Renoir

Adrien Renoir is one of the most promising and refined realities of the new generation of artisanal Champagne, a symbol of precision, energy and deep respect for terroir. Based in Verzy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims Grand Cru, the house represents a contemporary and sensitive vision of Champagne, founded on the pure expression of the territory and meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar. Adrien Renoir's philosophy is based on an artisanal and sustainable approach, in which the vineyard is at the heart of every production choice. Vineyards are grown according to environmentally friendly practices, with great attention to soil health and the natural balance of plants. The goal is to obtain healthy and ripe grapes, capable of precisely expressing the identity of the cru and individual vintages. The plots are located in Verzy, on chalky soils typical of the Montagne de Reims, which give the wines tension, depth and a marked mineral imprint. Pinot Noir represents the heart of the production, alongside Chardonnay, interpreted in a pure, vibrant and contemporary style, capable of combining structure, elegance and energy. In the winery, the work follows a philosophy of minimal interference: spontaneous fermentations, parcellar vinifications, and yeast refinements allow wines to develop complexity and precision without losing freshness and identity. Dosages are extremely low or absent, a choice that enhances the purity of the fruit and the transparency of the terroir. Adrien Renoir Champagnes are distinguished by a tense, refined and dynamic style, characterised by great aromatic precision, depth and a vibrant mineral component. Each cuvée authentically recounts the expressive power of the Grand Crus of the Montagne de Reims, combining power and finesse in perfect balance. Each bottle of Adrien Renoir is a bright and contemporary expression of artisanal Champagne, a meeting of youthful energy, technical rigor and absolute respect for nature. Name and manufacturer address: Adrien Renoir – Verzy, Montagne de Reims, Champagne, France. Wines should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat and direct light.
