THE WINERYCourtois
Champagne Pierre Courtois is a family-run, artisanal winery founded in 1971 in Crouttes-sur-Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne, one of Champagne's most iconic wine-growing areas. Since its beginnings, the Maison has overseen the entire production process, from vineyard management to the creation of its cuvées, maintaining a strong connection with the local terroir and Champagne-making tradition. The vineyards cover approximately 6 hectares across Crouttes-sur-Marne, Charly-sur-Marne and Villiers-Saint-Denis, with different soil characteristics that contribute to shaping the distinctive identity of the Champagnes. The three classic grape varieties of the region take centre stage: Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The winery's philosophy is based on an artisanal approach and meticulous attention to every stage of production. After vinification, the cuvées are aged on the lees for several years, developing complexity and balance. The range includes a variety of styles, from Brut and Demi-Sec to Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, each expressing the different nuances of the Vallée de la Marne terroir. Pierre Courtois Champagnes are therefore the result of a combination of family tradition, savoir-faire and a deep appreciation of the terroir, bringing together the distinctive identity of a small Maison and the timeless charm of Champagne in every glass. Producer name and address: Champagne Pierre Courtois, 41 Rue de l'Église, 02310 Crouttes-sur-Marne, France. Wines should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
