Pol Roger created his Prestige Cuvée in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, mindful of the qualities he liked and sought in Champagne: strength, character and maturity on the palate. Champagne Brut Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is mainly made from Pinot Noir grapes, accompanied by the freshness of Chardonnay. Its splendid intense golden hue gives the glass a brilliant and fine perlage. The first nose is thin and opens with hints of dried flowers such as rose petals, gently mixed with peppery notes, revealing vivacity. After breathing, notes of vanilla and candied fruit come to complete a very well developed bouquet. At the entrance to the palate, the wine is balanced and supported by a hint of citrus. It is then succulent and enchanting, with spicy notes of quince and green tea, amplified by elegant bubbles, characteristic of this wine of power and character. The high percentage of Pinot Noir in the blend enhances the wine with structure and length, as well as a perfect balance. Sir Winston Churchill is a true symphony of sensations. The minerality and weight of this Champagne make it perfect in combination with dishes based on Parmigiano Reggiano aged for 18 months, or meat dishes such as stuffed capon or sweetbreads cooked with morels. To fully appreciate its style, this Champagne should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10 ºC.
