TASTING NOTES

The Val di Suga company was established in 1969, when a company owned by Aldo Moro acquired land north of Montalcino allocated for vineyards. Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the Montalcino denomination on calcium-rich limestone soil. The grapes are harvested, followed by fermentation and ageing in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months and a further 6 months in cement tanks. Brunello di Montalcino has an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Its aromatic bouquet reveals aromas of red fruits, notes of leather, liquorice and tobacco. The finish is minty and full-bodied. Brunello di Montalcino wines pair perfectly with game dishes like stews, braised meats, wild boar, guinea fowl or duck but also roast veal and pork. THE WINERY

Val di Suga

The history of Val di Suga began in 1969, when a company owned by Aldo Moro acquired farmland north of Montalcino and planted the first hectares of rows. In 1982, Val di Suga started wine production, equipping itself with a vinification winery. The first vintage to enter the market is the Val di Suga Brunello Riserva 1977. Rapid viticultural and oenological growth began immediately. Since 1994, the Angelini Group has been giving a new impetus to Val di Suga, which is now award-winning and internationally recognised for the high-quality of its wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Val di Suga - Località Val di Cava, 53024 Montalcino SI. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
