TASTING NOTES

Production

Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, naturally produced from Sangiovese Grosso, ferments spontaneously in truncated-conical steel vats for around 24 days before being transferred to oak barrels to age for three and a half years. The winery’s style favours rich, powerful and well-defined wines.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red colour; the nose offers dark blackberry fruit, ripe cherry, bitter cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate, it is powerful and fresh, deep and rich. The fruit comes through strongly on the palate, supported by acidity and tannins.

Occasion and Pairing

Excellent paired with grilled meats and slow-cooked dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Casanova di Neri

An incredible land of rocks, and rich and fertile soil, makes up the seven vineyards of Casanova di Neri. The mission of the company and the winery is to maintain a process of productive and philosophical evolution at the same time, leading to the creation of Tuscan wines with a unique character. Experience and passion come together in a unique atmosphere, typical of the region. The winery's seven vineyards are located in the various areas of the Montalcino designation: from Fiesole to Cerretalto, via Collalli and Podernuovo to Pietradonice, Giovanni Neri and Cetine. The extraordinary biodiversity of the soil, the strategic positions, the variety of microclimates and the most important technological innovations give rise to a new vision of Brunello di Montalcino. The work always starts with tradition, to then enhance it and bring it into every glass, giving a different and innovative interpretation of the idea of wine. Name and address of producer/distributor: Casanova di Neri - Podere Fiesole, 53024 Montalcino SI. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
