TASTING NOTES

Production

The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a duration ranging from 18 to 24 days, including the maceration period on the skins. The fermentation is temperature-controlled, maintained between 28 and 30°C, and daily chemical analyses are carried out to monitor the process. Manual punch-downs are performed daily, while the must is separated through a soft pressing. After malolactic fermentation, the wine undergoes spontaneous clarification without filtration. The aging process takes place in Slavonian oak barrels, with volumes ranging from 11 to 40 hl, for a period of 36 months.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Brunello di Lisini presents a deep ruby red color with great brilliance. On the nose, it is an explosion of aromas: starting with the elegance of a bouquet of roses, it evolves into notes of underbrush and vanilla tones that are never overwhelming. On the palate, it is captivating and decisive, without lacking in elegance.

Occasion and Pairing

An ideal wine for Sunday lunch, perfect to pair with red meats, such as Florentine steak and hearty stews.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C.

THE WINERY

Lisini

The Lisini farm has very ancient origins. Its history has been carried on by the family of the same name, which has been able to carry on its wine-growing techniques and secrets from generation to generation. This knowledge has been passed down like a precious commodity, and still contributes to the creation of high-quality Tuscan wines. A unique and special character characterises the production of this company, which, with its famous Brunello, succeeds in conveying the best of the territory in every glass. The company itself is located in the province of Siena and, to be precise, in the hamlet of Sant'Angelo in Colle, a short distance from the centre of Montalcino. Here, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, there are over one hundred and fifty hectares of land, twenty of which are dedicated exclusively to vineyards. The unique characteristics of the land and the climate of the Maremma contribute to creating the perfect environmental conditions for quality wine growing. Name and address of producer/distributor: Lisini - Podere Casanova - Sant' Angelo in Colle, 53024 Montalcino SI. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
