TASTING NOTES

The fermentations take place in stainless steel and cement tanks, using spontaneous yeasts to allow the most natural expression of the wine. At the beginning of the process, two daily pump-overs are carried out, which are then reduced according to the extraction progress. The maceration duration is decided through frequent tastings, allowing the winemaker to monitor the wine’s evolution. After the malolactic fermentation, which naturally occurs in November, the various wines are blended and begin their aging process. This lasts for 12 months, during which part of the wine matures in 30 hl cement vats, while the other part rests in second- and third-passage barriques. The wine has excellent aging potential, with a lifespan of up to 10 years, during which it will continue to evolve and refine. Visually, the wine presents a dark ruby color, enhanced by subtle garnet reflections that emphasize its depth. The aromatic profile is rich and intense, with aromas of black currant, marasca cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and ripe cherry, intertwined with notes of underbrush and humus. Additionally, there are herbaceous hints typical of the Mediterranean scrub, as well as tobacco, leather, and delicate spicy nuances that further enrich the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and well-structured, with a mature and velvety tannic texture that envelops the mouth. Its aromatic complexity is felt in all its breadth, while maintaining a vital freshness that expresses itself in a fresh and persistent finish, leaving a pleasant and lasting aftertaste. Perfect for pairing with pasta dishes with meat sauces, roasted and grilled meats, braised red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this wine is ideal for rich and flavorful dishes that enhance its structure and complexity. To fully enjoy it, we recommend allowing the wine to "breathe" for 15-30 minutes before serving it at a temperature of 16-18°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Michele Satta

Minière F e R is one of the most authentic and sensitive realities of the new artisanal Champagne, a symbol of precision, respect for terroir and the pursuit of the essential. Led by Frédéric and Rodolphe Minière, the maison was founded in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne with the aim of producing Champagne that is a sincere expression of the land, the vineyards, and time, through an artisanal approach that deeply respects nature. Minière Fe R's philosophy is based on a rigorous balance between tradition and contemporary sensibility. Every choice, from vineyard management to winemaking, is geared towards preserving the vitality of the terroir and the purity of the aromatic expression. Vineyards are grown according to sustainable and low-impact practices, with great attention to the biological balance of the soils and the quality of the grapes. The parcels are mainly found in the Vallée de la Marne, on soils rich in clay, limestone and chalk that give the wines depth, freshness and mineral tension. Champagne's traditional grape varieties, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, are interpreted with great precision, resulting in elegant, vibrant, and deeply territorial cuvées. In the cellar, the work follows a minimal and respectful approach: spontaneous fermentations, long refinements on the yeasts and minimal interventions allow the wines to develop complexity, balance and identity. Vinifications take place with extreme care, often in small containers and with calibrated use of wood, to preserve finesse and energy without overpowering the character of the wine. Minière F e R Champagnes are distinguished by a pure, refined and contemporary style, characterised by great aromatic precision, tension and drinkability. Each bottle tells an authentic vision of Champagne, where elegance and craftsmanship coexist in perfect balance. Each Minière F e R cuvée is a sensory journey into the most sincere and luminous part of the Vallée de la Marne, a living expression of territory, sensitivity and time. Manufacturer name and address: Minière F e R – Hermonville, Champagne, France. Wines should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat and direct light.
