Produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the Vigna Rionda vineyard located in the Me.G.A. area of Serralunga d'Alba, the grapes ferment and macerate on the skins for a long period in oak vats at a temperature around 30°C. It matures in large Slavonian oak barrels for up to 42 months, then undergoes an additional 24 months of aging in the bottle.
Barolo Riserva Vigna Rionda appears in the glass with a deep garnet red color. On the nose, it reveals broad and enveloping sensations, with hints of red fruits and floral notes, along with nuances of underbrush, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, it is a unique, long-lived, and structured Barolo. It requires a bit of patience to fully express itself, which is why it leaves the winery after six years of aging as a Riserva.
Always evolving, it pairs wonderfully with meat dishes rich in intense and persistent aromas and flavors, aged cheeses, or as a wine for contemplation, for those who wish to enjoy it while relaxing and appreciating all its many qualities in their fullest purity and with the necessary calm.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C.
