TASTING NOTES

The Vietti winery was founded at the end of 1800 by Carlo Vietti in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto in the heart of the Barolo production area and, therefore, immersed in the Langhe. Today the name Vietti is recognized worldwide as one of the most important wine producers worldwide thanks to the work of 4 generations and, Above all, of Luciana Vietti and Alfredo Currado who introduced small great innovations such as the first production of Barolo cru, the vinification of Arneis in purity and the labels of author. The trail was followed by his son Luca Currado Vietti and his wife Elena. Today the winery has expanded thanks to the acquisition by Krause Holding. Which has left Luca and Elena at the head of the company. The vineyards are all cultivated in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto and Barolo DOC. The main vine is Nebbiolo, responsible for the great Barolo wines, but Vietti also produce Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. The terroir in this area is distinguished by the production of wines with good concentration and fruit but also elegance and freshness. Some of them can continue to age in bottles for tens of years. Vietti winery owns vineyards in some of the most important cru of Barolo including Brunate, Lazzarito and Ravera. Vietti Barolo Ravera is a dry red wine produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the Ravera vineyard in the town of Novello where some plants reach 90 years of age. Calcareous-clay soil and south-west exposure. Grapes harvested by hand, soft pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats using the submerged hat technique. Malolatica in cask and aging on lees for more than a year. Garnet red in color. The nose is charming and charming with distinct notes of red fruit, white pepper, hydrocarbon, peppermint, thyme and rosemary. In the mouth generous with great freshness and scratchy tannins. It needs a few minutes in the glass to best express its personality. Piedmontese red to taste to celebrate important occasions, to be breathed before drinking or observed it change in the glass. Excellent with red meat, game and stews. To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Vietti

In the heart of the Langhe, an area known for the production of the traditional Barolo, Cantina Vietti has stood for four generations. However, it was in the 1960s that Alfredo Currado revolutionised wine production, from monovarietal vinification to Etichette d'Autore, original Vietti wines created by artists and inspired by a specific vintage. In the following years, the Vietti family continued along the road of experimentation in search of quality, contributing to the creation of one of the most renowned brands of Piedmontese wine made in Italy. To this day, Cantina Vietti, acquired by Krause Holdings, combines the traditions and passion carried on for generations with innovative techniques to ensure the production of high quality wines and an a href="https://www.signorvino.com/it/vini/inno_alla_natura/">viticoltura and sustainable viticulture that enhances and safeguards the surrounding terroir. The end result of the excellent Piedmontese wines produced by Cantina Vietti, which convey the love for the surrounding area and the dedication of its producers, can be appreciated on the palate. Name and address of producer/distributor: Vietti - Piazza Vittorio Veneto, 5, 12060 Castiglione Falletto (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
