The winery was founded in 1986 in La Morra, a small town in the heart of the Langhe, always known for its prestigious vineyards some of which bear the same name written in the municipal books from 1350. The Barolo Fossati by Roberto Voerzio is one of the best excellences of the territory of La Morra and a highlight of the historic winery, always oriented to the search for the highest quality. The vineyards of Roberto Voerzio are cultivated in order to obtain little grapes of the highest quality. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. The wine ages for 24 months in barrique and large barrels, for 8 months in steel and completes the aging with a further 8 months in bottle. In the glass it has a magnificent ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is elegant and fine, with scents of violet, dried rose petals, licorice root, aromatic herbs, aromas of small berries and delicate spices. The mouthfeel is harmonious and of great balance, with a mature, complex texture and silky tannic texture. The finish is very persistent and characterized by a lively freshness. Barolo Fossati is excellent with eggs with truffles, lamb steaks in a pan, braised veal with Barolo, Castelmagno cheese. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 18/20 ºC.
