Production

Pico Maccario’s Barolo Cannubi is produced in the historic Cannubi cru, in the municipality of Barolo, from Nebbiolo grapes grown on calcareous-clay soils that impart elegance and longevity. Vinification takes place in stainless steel with skin contact, followed by ageing in wood and subsequent bottle ageing, to best express the character of the terroir.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Ruby red in colour with garnet highlights. The nose reveals notes of cherry, red fruits, rose and spices, with subtle hints of tobacco. On the palate, it is structured and balanced, with elegant tannins, good freshness and a long, persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal for special occasions, it pairs well with red meats, braised dishes, game and mature cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.
