Bartolo Mascarello's Barolo is born from the blend of Nebbiolo grapes from various historic vineyards in the Barolo and La Morra areas, according to the classic tradition of cru blending. The vineyards are cultivated with great respect for the territory and low yields. Harvesting is manual and winemaking takes place in concrete tanks with spontaneous fermentations and long macerations on the skins. The aging takes place for several years in large oak barrels, followed by a further period in the bottle.
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it is complex and elegant, with notes of cherry, wilted rose and small red fruits, accompanied by hints of spice, licorice, tobacco and light balsamic nuances. On the palate it is structured and harmonious, with fine tannins, great freshness and a deep taste texture. The ending is long, persistent and very balanced.
Iconic and highly traditional Barolo, ideal for important occasions and high-end tastings. It pairs with red meats, braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
