TASTING NOTES

Production

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Eremo Alto is a traditional Amarone, whose grapes, after harvest, are dried in well-ventilated rooms, in accordance with the renowned production technique for this wine. Once dried, they are crushed and fermented before maturing in barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, Eremo Alto presents itself with a ruby color and garnet reflections, light and quite delicate. On the nose, the elegant scent of rose emerges, enriched by fruity notes of cherry and sweet spices, with hints of tobacco and coffee in the background. The palate is full, enveloping, and has a dry finish with good balance.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal with red meats, cheeses, and flavorful dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

THE WINERY

Ca' del Monte

Ca' del Monte takes its name from the area between the village of Negrar, north of Verona, in the heart of Valpolicella and the hills of San Peretto. The winery is enthusiastically run by the dynamic brothers Umberto and Giuseppe Zanconte, and it is the 3rd generation that looks after the family estate since the early 1900s. The farm consists of around 50 hectares of vineyards, located entirely on the sunny south-western hills. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 275 metres above sea level and is planted with the typical red grapes of Valpolicella: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and other indigenous grape varieties. Authentic and natural wines, classically faithful to tradition and territory. Name and address of producer/distributor: Via Ca' del Monte s.n.c. - 37024 Negrar (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
