Production

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Eremo Alto is a traditional Amarone, whose grapes, after harvesting, are left to dry in well-ventilated rooms, as required by the renowned production technique for this wine. Once dried, they are pressed and left to ferment before maturing in barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, Eremo Alto presents a ruby colour with garnet highlights, subtle and rather delicate. On the nose, the scent of roses emerges elegantly and is then enriched with fruity notes of cherry and sweet spices, with hints of tobacco and coffee in the background. The palate is full-bodied, enveloping and dry on the finish, with good balance.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal with red meats, cheeses and savoury dishes.

Serving Temperature

Ca' del Monte takes its name from the area that connects the town of Negrar, north of Verona, in the heart of Valpolicella to the hills of San Peretto. The winery is enthusiastically managed by the dynamic brothers Umberto and Giuseppe Zanconte and is the 3rd generation, early 1900s, to take care of the family estate. The farm consists of about 50 hectares of vineyards, entirely located on the sunny hills to the southwest. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 275 meters above sea level perfectly positioned and planted with the typical red grapes of Valpolicella: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and other native vines.
