TASTING NOTES

Production

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Eremo Alto is a traditional Amarone, whose grapes, after harvest, are dried in well-ventilated rooms, in accordance with the renowned production technique for this wine. Once dried, they are crushed and fermented before maturing in barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, Eremo Alto presents itself with a ruby color and garnet reflections, light and quite delicate. On the nose, the elegant scent of rose emerges, enriched by fruity notes of cherry and sweet spices, with hints of tobacco and coffee in the background. The palate is full, enveloping, and has a dry finish with good balance.

Occasion and Pairing

Ideal with red meats, cheeses, and flavorful dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Ca' del Monte

Ca' del Monte takes its name from the area that connects the town of Negrar, north of Verona, in the heart of Valpolicella to the hills of San Peretto. The winery is enthusiastically managed by the dynamic brothers Umberto and Giuseppe Zanconte and is the 3rd generation, early 1900s, to take care of the family estate. The farm consists of about 50 hectares of vineyards, entirely located on the sunny hills to the southwest. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 275 meters above sea level perfectly positioned and planted with the typical red grapes of Valpolicella: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and other native vines. Natural and authentic wines, classically faithful to traditions and the territory. Discover the Amarone and other fantastic Veneto wines of this historic winery.
