TASTING NOTES

Production

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG originates in the municipality of San Pietro in Cariano and is the result of meticulous control over the grapes, which are left to dry on traditional racks for 4 months. A blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rodinella and Oseleta, aged for 24 months in barriques and Slavonian oak barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

A beautiful ruby red with garnet highlights, revealing a complexity that is also evident on the nose: hints of cherry and ripe black cherry, currants preserved in alcohol, notes of cocoa, ether and spice, and a balsamic note that emerges on the finish. On the palate, we sense its full structure, and the mouthfeel is full, warm and enveloping. Ideal for a traditional Sunday family lunch.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs perfectly with game and wild game, but also with hard cheeses and aged cheeses. It is also excellent with a pastissada de caval served with polenta.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Farina

Cantina Fasoli Gino is located in the Verona area, a wine producer since 1925 and historically the site of great innovation. With an activity that obtains its fruits from the vineyards in splendid areas such as the Val d'Illasi or the hills that frame Lake Garda, since 1984 it has been cultivating vines with the organic method, which since 2006 has been joined by the biodynamic one. Located in an area typically known for its production of white wines, the estate offers products such as Lugana, Soave and Bardolino Chiaretto. These are generally soft, balanced and fresh, endowed with elegance and versatility that comes from the native grapes and the minerality of the soil. However, the winery has also ventured into the production of Venetian Reds, immediately obtaining exciting results. Among its best-known products you can find Amarone, Merlot, Valpolicella, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. All soft, elegant, decisive and enveloping wines, extremely cared for with periodic tastings during the ageing process. But Fasoli Gino's product offer does not end there. Elegant and fragrant sparkling wines are also produced in this winery. They exhibit predominantly bitter tones, with an acidity that tends to preserve the sensation of freshness of their Prosecco. Name and address of producer/distributor: Fasoli Gino - San Zeno di Montagna, Via C.Battisti, 47, 37030 Colognola Ai Colli (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
