TASTING NOTES

Production

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG originates in the municipality of San Pietro in Cariano and is the result of meticulous control over the grapes, which are left to dry on traditional racks for 4 months. A blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rodinella and Oseleta, aged for 24 months in barriques and Slavonian oak barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

A beautiful ruby red with garnet highlights, revealing a complexity that is also evident on the nose: hints of cherry and ripe black cherry, currants preserved in alcohol, notes of cocoa, ether and spice, and a balsamic note that emerges on the finish. On the palate, we sense its full structure, and the mouthfeel is full, warm and enveloping. Ideal for a traditional Sunday family lunch.

Occasion and Pairing

It pairs perfectly with game and wild game, but also with hard cheeses and aged cheeses. It is also excellent with a pastissada de caval served with polenta.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Farina

Having inherited the passion for wine as a family heritage, Alessandro, Claudio and Elena Farina have for years taken care of the 45 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area, 35 of which are owned, with a special focus on enhancing the Corvina grape. Aspiring to create high-quality wines, the Farina family relies on modern technologies and cutting-edge techniques in the winemaking process. The Farina winery combines a deep respect for the family tradition with great tenacity and courage in innovation. The fine red wines from Veneto are the result of new techniques, significant interventions in the vineyards and great attention to organic and sustainable viticulture. In this area of Veneto where the winemaking tradition has been a pillar for centuries, there is an indissoluble link between the wines, symbol of this ancient heritage, and the unique land that produces them. From the traditional Amarone del Valpolicella, a distinctive feature and excellence of the winemaking tradition of the area, to the Trevenezie reds, these high-quality products express the intensity and strength of the surrounding area.
