Certainly one of the most intriguing and enjoyable Italian sparkling wines, the Kettmeir Pinot Bianco is made from pure Pinot Bianco grapes grown in vineyards situated on limestone soils at over 600 meters of altitude. The entire production process takes place in stainless steel; after the first fermentation, secondary fermentation occurs in autoclave, followed by six months of aging on the lees, making the Pinot Bianco Athesis a perfect example of a 'Charmat lungo'.
In the glass, it is lively with a fine mousse. It displays a delicate straw yellow color, filled with a whirlwind of fine and persistent bubbles. The nose is distinctly fresh, revealing very young fruit, followed by balanced aromatic notes with hints of yeast. On the palate, it is crisp, dry, with excellent liveliness and good persistence.
The perfect bottle, also offering excellent value for money, for an aperitif with friends, which can be enhanced by a suitable charcuterie board.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8/10°C.
