TASTING NOTES

Production

The Blanc de Blancs, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested by hand, reveals exceptional power and intensity. Alta Langa Brut undergoes two fermentations using natural indigenous yeasts: after the first fermentation, the wine matures until May before tirage, and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle for a period of at least 4 years. 100 ml: E=281 kJ/67 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow colour with golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. A burst of white fruit and citrus blends with floral and flinty notes. The captivating union of texture and purity creates an irresistible marriage. White flowers, lemon zest and slate stand out, but the Blanc de Blancs is distinguished above all by its structure and precision.

Occasion and Pairing

Fresh and lively, this sparkling wine is elegant and exuberant, excellent with light fish and shellfish dishes, and perfect for uncorking with friends for an aperitif.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

THE WINERY

Contratto

A profound care for the territory and local traditions, an ancient history and constant production, always attentive to new technologies. The Contratto winery is a guarantee when you are looking for exceptional Piedmontese wines. Giuseppe Contratto founded his winery in 1867, when he began making wine from Moscato grapes from the Monferrato area, producing one of the first Italian sparkling wines refermented in the bottle. Also in those years the Contratto family began the construction of the historic cellar, which was then completed in the twentieth century. It was around 1910 that Contratto wines began to conquer foreign markets, becoming synonymous with prestige and quality in the world of sparkling wines, so much so that the company became the official supplier of the Vatican, the Belgian royal house and the royal family of Savoy. At the basis of the philosophy of the Rivetti family, there is the urgency of looking forward without ever losing contact with one's roots. The objective that Contratto sets itself is to tell through a glass of Alta Langa the great potential of the Piedmontese hills in terms of the Classic Method, taking care of the vineyards every day in order to bring exceptional grapes to the cellar. Discover the complete selection of Contratto on Signorvino wines and let yourself be won over by the authentic taste of Piedmont. Explore all Piedmontese wines. Name and address of producer/distributor: Contratto - Via Giovanni Battista Giuliani, 54 - 14053 Canelli (AT). The products from this cellar should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
