Gin

Gin is a distillate of wheat and rye, in which herbs, plants, berries, spices and root botanicals are steeped in varying combinations and quantities. The ingredients most often used are juniper berries and coriander seeds, sometimes more floral with hints of spice, which also give the distillate the right body and freshness. Gin distilling has to meet very strict rules that, for example, the botanicals must macerate in the base alcohol for no more than 24 hours, and then be distilled again in traditional stills.
