TASTING NOTES

Production

Produced from Merlot, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, gently destemmed and crushed. Fermentation follows with skin maceration at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats. Ageing takes place partly in steel and partly in small French oak barrels. Per 100 ml: 357 kJ/85 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

A wine with a brilliant ruby red colour; on the nose, notes of small wild berries stand out: red and blackcurrants, raspberries and blackberries, along with hints of rosehip, pepper, liquorice and cocoa, finishing with spicy nuances of pepper, cinnamon and cloves. The palate is dynamic, with a layered and balanced structure, and refreshing acidity leading to a finish characterised by dense, integrated tannins.

Occasion and Pairing

This is a versatile wine, ideal for dinners featuring meat dishes, mature cheeses or for celebrating special occasions, thanks to its elegance and complexity. It is also perfect for wine tastings, enhancing rich dishes such as pasta with meat sauce and roasts.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 18–20°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Livio Felluga

Among the great names of Italian viticulture, the name of Livio Felluga should be included. From the time after the Second World War, he was committed to the revaluation of quality agriculture through avant-garde vinification aimed at enhancing the Friulian border area, where Balkan and Central European influences met and clashed for centuries. It was precisely the desire to communicate a territory to the world through its wines that led Livio to choose his traditional labels, representing a cross-section of the Friuli map. Indigenous and international grape varieties are still used and declined in their truest expression. Name and address of producer/distributor: Livio Felluga - Via Risorgimento, 1, 34071 Brazzano GO. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
