TASTING NOTES
The Marion company is a small family-run business in Marcellise in the municipality of San Martino Buon Albergo, a 10-minute drive from Verona. The winery is located in a Renaissance villa owned by Conte Marioni which dates back to the sixteenth century. Marion, founded in the 1980s by Stefano Campedelli, his wife Nicoletta and his brother Marco, covers about twenty hectares and also includes rented land. The company philosophy is based on taking meticulous care in all phases of wine production, especially managing the vineyards to protect the plants’ natural balance. Marion's signature Teroldego is a delicious red wine from Veneto made from the grape variety of the same name and lightly raisined grapes. Ageing takes place in small Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months. In the glass it displays a deep ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose it has rich fruit aromas with blackberry, plum and blueberry intertwined with herbaceous and sweet spice notes. In the mouth it is juicy, with silky tannin and lots of envelopment. Long finish with full flavour. A wine that everyone will enjoy during Sunday lunch, try it with aged cheeses or grilled red meats and the pairing will be more than successful.
