After Antonio Bennati, known as Toni Recioto, a nickname derived from the dried grape wine of the same name, had spent 50 years trading wine in famous straw flasks, his son Annibale founded the Cantine Bennati in 1920 in Cazzano di Tramigna, which today still offers the best wines from the Valtramigna area of Veneto.
It is a winery in continuous evolution. New crushing machinery and a new logistics centre ensure efficiency and speed to meet demand. Bennati also has new vineyards where it is implementing plans to reassess the traditional production techniques of its wines. These plans also aim to enhance the offer, limiting production of high quality wines, which can transmit the values of the land with their scents and aromas. The excellence of the Valtramigna production area is an important factor that contributes to the production of some of the most renowned red and white wines of the Veneto region.
